There's a hidden beauty finding its way out of everything.

We are all angels with but one wing; only embracing one another will we fly.

I am Jack's wasted life.

I kissed you in a style Clark Gable would admire, I thought it classic.

L'art est une façon de vivre.

Oh hi.

Why must my life be a soap operatic sob story?

In addition to my dead best friend, my close HIV friend, my HIV ex-boyfriend, and my very close brain tumor friend, I am now in-the-know about my special manfriend's incurable disease. He had a seizure in my bed last night and I was rather scared out of my mind. These aforementioned people are, however - with a few additions - are my absolute favorite people on earth. They have no insecurities, no pretention, no hang-ups, aren't whiney, and have no bullshit that overdramatically plagues their daily lives. They are sick and they are the strongest, most amazing people I know.

And we are all going to go read this because once again slacksoft has made beauty.
Goddamn, I gotta find out who this guy is in real life and start stalking him.

Jesus loves you as you are.
Cthulu thinks you need BBQ sauce.

Those aren't tears
It's just love.

When you’re sure you’ve had enough of this life, well hang on.
Don’t let yourself go, everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes.

A smoking gun can't tell a story, but all too often has one been an end.

Mon Dieu! Il se déshabille!!
Qu'est-ce qui brun et collant? Un baton!

Truth is a delight to those who love her, such beauty holds no power to offend.

Work each day as if you expect to live forever, live each day as if you expect to die tomorrow.
-My Grandfather (RIP)

"Sometimes Ii think I've broken my own
heart...."- Karly

"Art is a place to explore labyrinths of questions with unparalleled bravery and ingenuity, which would otherwise not be touched in the realm of reality"- Karly

"I'm always dressed to kill
And I feel like I owe it to the world
But I owe it to myself"

"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."
- Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc, 1989

How much for a heartbeat?

When I think of all the people I have come upon, I must remember all the people that have come upon me. (Hedwig)

I believe; But this is not enough.

"Did you ever walk in a room and forget why you walked in? I think that's how dogs spend their lives."
-Sue Murphy-

I brought myself down. I gave them a sword. And they stuck it in. And they twisted it with relish. And I guess, if I'd been in their position, I'd have done the same thing.

How to Commit Suicide Quickly:
A. Lift up toilet seat
B. Place Head in toilet
C. Pull down toilet seat with speed
D. Repeat steps A & C until dead.

"Don't know how to defeat others, but I know how to defeat myself."

I just love this for the idea of putting in portraits of two people who do not know each other in the same image. What an interesting way to start up a friendship:
"Hey there, you do not know me but one of the most talented painters in the world just put us in his latest painting together."

the stone boy
with the blown glass soul
he's on the road
he's on the go
the world hangs high
and he hangs low
he leaves the film
then they start the show

Obviously this is not an official diagnosis. Not even close! This was intended for entertainment purposes only! If you don't know that, you need to PUT THE KEYBOARD DOWN AND BACK AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER!

Cirr: Maybe we should go in.
Hunter: What good'll that do?
Cirr: We won't have to watch...
Hunter: Some bugger just put his life on the line to make himself heard. The least we can do is watch.

I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a drunk; alcoholics go to meetings...

Don't paint yourself in a corner when there is a whole room that you can mark up.

I'm pretty troubled and I'm pretty confused, and I'm afraid... really, really afraid, but I think you're the fucking antichrist.

The way out is through.

Gone Crazy. Back Soon.

"Sleep...those little slices of death, how I loathe them. " - edgar allen poe

"That's so healthy it's unAmerican."

No trees were harmed in the submission of this message. However, a great number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Kryten : Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb.

So maybe I'm losing my mind.

In a world of killer lawn mowers, all flesh is grass.

"'Cause when I look down
I just miss all the good stuff.
When I look up
I just trip over things."

With the combined artistic talent and malevolent powers of these five artists, one could blow up the world.

Don't judge beauty by the curve of a spoon.

"Do I look like a drunkard, Margo?"
"Well I am!"

"I hate the real world. I refuse to live in it. I'm going to move to Canada!"

"Just shut up and let me convince myself that the world is out to get me!"

Ges Vorrutyer? He was just a little villian. An old-fashioned craftsman, making crimes one-off. The really unforgivable acts are committed by calm men in beautiful green silk rooms, who deal death wholesale, by the shipload, with out lust, or anger, or desire, or any other redeaming emotion to excuse them but cold fear of some pretended future. But the crimes they hope to prevent in that future are imaginary. The ones they commit in the present-they are real.
-Lord Aral Vorkosigan, Cordelia’s Honor, pg.141

Turnabout is fairplay. Payback is a bitch.
-Anita Blake, Circus of the Damned, pg. 114

Some of the younger nobles and courtiers shared his taste for the unseemly side of Ombria. They had no idea why Duncon would stop to sketch a window whose small, thick, cracked panes of glass made the world beyond it undefined, elusive. They would criticize his drawings, follow him into taverns and drink with him, until they recognized what they wanted at the bottom of a bottle or in a face. Then they would let him drift away to find other windows, other doors and passageways that seemed haunting in their ambiguity, as if they led both out and in at once, and to the same place.
-Ombria in Shadow, p.54

Outside, on Middion Street, a million lights greeted Blue: a candlelit AIDS march. Blue was never one fro religious exercises, and that’s what this looked like, a great Mass of flickering light weaving through the darkness. Still, Blue stood and watched the long line of men and women as they passed him, and after a while he waked along, not joining the parade but keeping pace with it, waching it. The calm, the people. Such serenity in the face of such humiliation and loss. The patience. It was what Blue’s people down home called “prayerful.” Blue thought back to his youth, when he would complain to his mother that he had prayed to God and gotten no answer.
“Well, sure, you was answered,” Blue’s mother relished saying. “God said no.”
-Ethan Mordden, How Long Has This Been Going On? p.476

The problem with you middle-class gay guys is you pass for white. You move to the metropolitain gay centers, and you’re more or less closeted-‘private’, you’d call it-when you step outside the ghetto. You assimilate yourselves, and suddenly you’ve got property to protect and money invested. I ask you, what impelled the militants of the civil rights movement of the sixties? You know what impelled them? They had nothing to lose. That’s how they could brave the police dogs and the fire hoses. Even torture and death. Could you have done that?
-Ethan Mordden, How Long Has This Been Going On? p.445

And yet. Oh, and yet for what happiness has this honesty of yours brought you all? Nobody here seems to have what he wants. Everyone’s uprooted, in a flux. Is this fraternity I see before me? Or lost souls?
-Ethan Mordden, How Long Has This Been Going On? p.407
